Shipping profiles are a great way to simplify the checkout process for your customers. They allow you to create groups of shipping options and assign them to particular products.
If you use MerchMixer, it is important to note that the dropshipping platform only ships to the domestic US and does not charge customers for shipping (by default). If you want to change this, you will have to go into the shipping profile and make the desired changes.
There are two kinds of shipping profiles:
The General shipping profile is the default shipping profile for your Shopify store and already comes prepopulated with local carrier rates (based on your location).
The custom shipping profile is where you can create exceptions to your general shipping profile. For example, you may have heavy or extremely fragile products that cost more to ship or only available for shipping from certain locations
To get into your shipping profiles, you need to click on "Settings" located on the lower left of your Shopify dashboard, then click on the "Shipping and delivery" option.
To change the settings of your general shipping profile, click on "Manage Rates"
Or to create a custom shipping profile, click on "Create New Profile" under Custom
Once you are done, click on the "Save" button to implement the changes to your shipping profile.
